Let me know what you think. Any comments welcome

I just don't understand not running Simic Infect? Seems way better IMO. I'm just curious why you like Golgari?

Blazingblevins

Golgari has answers , interaction. Anyone who has played infect knows that sometimes you don't have creatures, so golgari gives you room to breath. If u run blue and miss the counter, too late.

I'd do the following:

1. Either splash blue or cut black for blue, UG is tried and true and has proven itself the best infect variant

2. Up your fetch land count, and toss in some become immenses. That card is way too good not to play.

3. Add some number of apostle's blessing because that card is amazing

4. Cut ever interactive thing to make the combo faster, if you're looking for an interactive deck, this isn't it. If you wanna play infect and are looking for interaction, you're gonna have to pick one.

The ONLY reason everyone thinks blue is so good is 1 card in the whole deck, blighted agent. It's the only blue card in the deck. I do agree on become immense though, very good.

Blazingblevins

Also 8 fetches is plenty. Anyone who has played infect knows your life is too precious.

Actually distortion strike too. And trust me you're not going to revolutionize how people see infect, people aren't going to realize that they've been wrong this whole time and GB is just so much better. Also, blighted agent wins games on it's own, that card is absolutely crazy

Um what? Life is too precious in a combo deck? False statement is false dude. I played infect for a few months, your life doesn't matter that much

Agreed. You're making blanket statements that are entirely false. Kaalia has played infect before. Black is bad in infect. You're not trying to interact, all you care about is your glistened elf not dying so you can kill your opponent. If you want to post a suboptimal version of an already existing deck then don't expect advice. You might as well try to play Jund Scapdshift. If just doesn't work. Stop trying to be revolutionary and acting like every infect player in the world agrees with you, because they don't.

Blighted Agent is just the best option. If you want black, then a more controlly version might be fun. With {Skitherix, the Blight Dragon} and {Abrupt Decay} and {Hero's Downall}. Just a thought

GB 'control' is basically just some kind off midrange rock deck. Also downfall is virtually unplayable in modern, especially with maelstrom pulse existing. But I agree, jund, the rock, or abzan are your best choices. You prob want to use goyf and friends as your win conditions instead of a 5 CMC 3 turn clock though

I don't care if she played infect before. I have been playing it for years. Never said the ug version was bad, and blighted agent is amazing. But what happens when there are no creatures for a few turns? U die 99% of the time. Deff not trying to revolutionize infect, just making a more interatctive version, with answers, I win most matches against most tier 1 decks, online and live. Same goes for ug version, so no need to act like I'm trying to invent something here bro.

1. I'm a dude. I should really get around to changing my name.

2. Infect shouldn't be an interactive deck, and honestly if you think your life is precious when you're playing infect and you've been playing for years, you have been playing wayyy wrong.

3. You have 14 threats main deck. When there's no threats for the first few turns you had a really bad draw and honestly this is rare.

4. Sure you can abrupt decay and inquisition to hold them back a few turns so you die slower but this deck won't be able to realistically come back from behind and actually win

Them just play blue black green. You still get your "answers" that you don't really need and you get to play your blighted agent which is just better than your flying one not to mention you get distortion strike which is insane. Seriously man, we're trying to help you towards a better version of the deck. If didn't want help you shouldn't have posted it
