The cheapest competitive modern deck money can buy. Suggestions, advice, and criticism are always welcome.

Munchlax

Ok, if you like this deck try primal crux green. Similar playstyle but has just a bit more fuel along with bigger creatures. It's a really fun deck to play

NovusOrbis

Yeah, I love the deck, I just want something ultra budget because of the academy. I need some better finishers or something turn 4/5 other than Garruk.

Oldmanomis

Opinions on {primeval Titan}?

With Garruk it's a solid T5 drop, I'd think. And pump for dungrove.

LinkCelestrial

Needs {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} I think. Especially if you add {Primeval Titan} to fetch it.

In a deck that reaches it's peak with Titan? Would that really be worth it? I could be mistaken but I don't see too much outlets for the mana.

Remillo

If you have the funds, adding maybe two Nykthos, a Kessig Wolf Run and a single Stomping Grounds could add some reach, if you add titans.  It gives you something to do, since if someone is answering your threats you could add extra damage when you do push through.

would try and splash red with a stomping ground or two. Also run wooded foothills.

It makes it faster. I do think it'd be better with a mana sink. But still.

Like I suggested, {Kessig Wolf Run} is a fantastic use of extra mana and only requires one or two Stomping Grounds in the deck (especially with Titan) to get active!

NovusOrbis

Kessig and Nykthos are well in my budget, I'm going to the Merchant Marine Academy (one of the 5 US military academies) and I don't want to invest hugely into modern when I'll essentially have no time to play it.
What would I take out for Titan?

Also here's the side board so far:
{Skylasher} 4
{Beast Within} 4
{Choke} 2
{Oxidize} 3

Um. This isn't necessarily true. You'd need 4 wooded foothills as well and probably 4 stomping grounds for it to be any good. Colorless lands really .love. with this decks curve between leatherback baloth, experiment one and so much other stuff that it'll be more hindrance than help.
