Happens, shouldn't be a problem right?
Now how about a playset of {Ugin's nexus} put on the board by {Ugin, spirit dragon}, then {shrapnel blast} the one that stays. Four extra turns, and a chance to ult Ugin again!

{Ugin's nexus} is legendary.

That's why when you put 4 on the board with Ugin, three will go to grave next time state based actions are checked. Three turns. Then just get rid of #4 before starting your extra turn, netting you extra turn 4. In those turns you +2 Ugin, for 8 counters gained and 12 damage dealt. Pretty much ult again, or just +2 again to net 20 damage.

Yeah, that makes sense. My mistake.

I maybe wrong but I thought the change of the legend rule some time ago wouldn't let the four resolve as permenants but instead you would have to choose one to enter field and rest get "countered" especially since ugin flings the seven onto the field at once... My only reason for disputing the combo is bc the likeness to the sharuum combo bc the only reason you only need two is the rule allows you to sac the existing one to bring other to field then effect repeat

The legend rule:
704.5k: If a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners' graveyards. This is called the "legend rule."

This is a state-based action, so is checked after Ugin's ult resolves, before any player would get priority. Since the Nexus doesn't care how it ended up in the graveyard from play, it will work.

That's why I'm confused on the sharuum combo it would have to enter field as other heads to yard so the combo needs three to work?  But looking at it that way the nexus makes sense lol (I may be over thinking this lol)

I'm not familiar with the Sharuum combo, could you explain?

MommaB

With sharuum in hand and in yard and a card like blood artist on field cast the sharuum and pull the other from yard via the casted sharuum's etb effect then the legend rule kills the sharuum on field for the other to enter then the sharuum that enter's goes off and repeat... Allowing blood artist to keep triggering

{Sharuum the Hegemon} for reference.

You cast A from hand, etb triggers, put B on the field. Before you would gain priority and B's etb trigger goes on the stack, legend rule says put one in the grave. Then, you have a Sharuum in the yard to target again, and again, and again.
