Even just leaving {grim monolith} mana up when you cast kaho is a good thing.

{Mana Vault} doesn't work with {Power Artifact}. Unless I'm mistaken. I think the fetch is,

{Long-Term Plans}, {Mystic Tutor}, whatever

{Long-Term Plans} a monolith, {Mystic Tutor} a {Muddle the Mixture}, transmute into {Power Artifact}, profit.

That was in reply to a way to play your commander t2. But it does give infinite mana, just during your upkeep. Do not underestimate fast ramp.

It's not an activated ability, it's triggered. No go.
