{Myr Welder} Always seemed like an odd card.. It seems like it "could" have potential, but it never seems to do anything other than be a 1/4 with the random chance to be a {Burnished Hart}.

It's a {Gilded Lotus} or a {Quicksilver Amulet} most of the time. Either way I don't want to remove artefacts for coloured

{Scavenging Ooze} seems underwhelming. Unless it's your GY hate plan I could see it getting cut. {Hellkite Igniter} feels like a win more.

But on these notes Purphoros feels unnecessary. You're unlikely to get the devotion and if you have enough creatures hitting the field you win.

Hellkite igniter is also one of very few fliers.
Scooze is one of the best green cards in the game
Purph is so that I never need to go to combat and Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Swhere of safety are all things

Tonight was regular EDH. So I swapped Emmy for Darksteel Colossus and had at it. Went 2-0. 1st game was against mono black {Kokusho the Evening Star} combo and {Darigaaz the Igniter} goodstuff. T5 Blightsteel into t6 {Ancestral Statue} killing both people on t6

Game two was {Karador Ghost Cheiftan} sac-Reanimator and {Sharuum the Hegemon} artefact combo. Almost lost to the Sharuum deck but we disrupted his combo which lead me to play {Tezzeret the Seeker} and grab ancestral statue which allowed the play of a Wurmcoil, a Memnarch and a Darksteel colossus. Proceeded to a t6 win.

After the tournament I traded for an {Arcbound ravager} and gave advice to the Karador guy using the stuff in his binder.

Animar has 2 counters on it.

Pay 2, cast statue, trigger animar, return statue to hand.

Pay 1, cast statue, trigger animar, return statue to hand

Repeat
