Title. How many of you play fallout? I've currently got New Vegas ultimate and 1, saving up to get 3 ultimate. Easily my favorite series of all time, tied with Elder Scrolls. Bethseda is love. Bethseda is life. You guys play? What are your characters like? Who do you side with? I like to go NCR Laser Rifle sniper, so I can kill the president scotch free. I also tend to take Veronica and ED-E and wreck their .poo. at the fort.

Silent1236

I've put a couple hundred hours into both NV and 3. I always just take Boon and ED-E in NV and Fawkes and Dogmeat in 3. I've played pretty much all ways possible haha. It's been a couple years since I've played either, though. Fallout is the best, topped only by Dead Space and Half Life haha.  Couldn't get into the Elder Scrolls all that much, though.

I'm considering saving for a game, should I get F3: ultimate or Half Life? Also, TES takes a little while longer to get into (due to the fact that it's just kinda wandering around for awhile) but if you put time into it, it tops Fallout IMO. You need to play the game the right way. Minimum fast travel, walk everywhere and explore .loving. everything. If there's a dungeon, or a fun-sounding quest, do it however you want once you kill your first dragon. No need to actually do what you're told. Unless, of course, you're playing morrowind. That .poo. is hard to pick up. No compass, no map markers, nothing. It just says, "There's a dungeon west-ish of this one town named Barasos. Or was it something else? ANyways, just head west. If you forget this, you're screwed. Plus, you can't see the entrance once you're withing 100 feet due to thick fog." It's ridiculous.

Silent1236

Tough call. The two are very very different games. If you're looking for longevity, go with Fallout, if you're looking for a fast paced nostalgic romp, go with Half Life.  HL is just a nostalgia game to me. I played it like 12 years ago and got hooked haha.  I played the .poo. out of Skyrim, but tried to go back and play Oblivion, but couldn't get more than an hour into it.

Yeah playing backwards is an issue with TES, especially with Oblivion because or frankly sucks. I think I'll go F3. Thanks!

LOVE Morrowind, Skyrim and Fallout 3. Never liked Oblivion. Agreed that finding stuff in Morrowind can get annoying at times, but it's hugeness is AWESOME.
I try to play morrowind but it spits on me and calls me a casual
