Hey does anyone know synergies with {Humble defector}?

I was thinking something like {act of treason} after tapping defector, so you get it back, then you can tap it again, get it back EOT?

Skullguy725

Does {act of treason} give it back to the owner at EOT?

Sardok

You could combine him with {Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker} and activate the ability on the resulting token.

You draw 2 cards, the token is gone EoT.

particle

It's being played in twin because with {pestermite} or {deceiver exarch} you can draw four cards and then kill it before they untap with it. In draft I've seen people {refocus} with it to draw 4 cards. Also I've seen people {collateral damage} after activating before it resolves so opponent will never get HD

Act will just give you control until eot, you can tap again for two cards, but you can't prevent her going back to opponent. The controller will be whoever controlled her before, barring other shenanigans.

EDIT: {cloudshift} in response would let you keep her I think. (Plz correct me if my reasoning is wrong)

But how does act of treason decide who the creature goes back to EOT?

Kaylesh

Interaction of continuous effects. Every control effect works after another. The Act's one just ends at eot. The one time stamped before that one is now the last control effect.

LinkCelestrial

I feel like {Bazaar Trader} should help but he doesn't unless you {Act of Treason}.

What if you use {Bazaar Trader},targeting yourself to receive, first, and before it resolves, use {humble defector}? Would he come back to you, the targeted player, or would the ability fizzle since he would be an illegal target, since he no longer is under your control

{bazaar trader} would fizzle on resolution, just like {terror} gets countered when it's target becomes black. However {dominating licid} gets a new time stamp every time it is applied as an aura I believe. Lemme check.

EDIT: score!
613.6d If an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification becomes attached to an object or player, the Aura, Equipment, or Fortification receives a new timestamp at that time.
