I remember someone talking about an lgs in a western suburb. I had a few questions because I'm looking for a new place to do prerelease events.

That would probably be me intelligentlman and kaalia

Heyo. We have a local small place in Elmhurst, but the better place for prerelease is Tyton Games in Villa Park.

Looking for more friendly then competitive.

Either one is nice for that. Gem is a lot smaller though. Tyton runs a midnight prerelease friday, 2:00 Saturday, 2HG at 6:00 Saturday, and gem runs only one at 1 or 2 on Sunday. We'd be happy to see you there! :)

Gem is probably a bit more friendly. They do proxy legacy and 30 proxies modern plus drafts and casual night

McAtoms

Dean's Dugout in Naperville is the best overall casual atmosphere I've been to in Chicagoland.

Draxstar Games in Batavia is also very good for that but can be a bit competitive (It's where I'll be on Sunday).

The Game Knight in Aurora is good for prerelease only because there 1-2 top notch serious players and the rest are just casual folk.

Gamer's World and Graham Crackers in Aurora: Both are usually very competitive.

Cool thanks for the info. You ever do past times in niles I think.

Makes me miss living in illinois.  I moved to ohio but I found a great LGS that is only 12 mins from the house.  It's just finding time to go :(
