{rootborn defenses} to save from wipes

{Ajani's Presence} just so you're aware of alternate options.

Tron {Oblivion Stone}
UWR control {Supreme Verdict} {Wrath of God}
There's also loads of targeted removal and it stops that too

A buddy of mine actually runs damnations in his grixis control deck. I know this because I traded him 2 for his foil Karn liberated lol

He also runs a geist of saint traft control deck that he runs supremes as well. He either gets 1st or 2nd every week and that's because 4 of the players at our meta run tier 1 decks

This is my meta
T1-Boros burn or T1 splintertwin(he surprises us)
T1 Affinity or Blue White tron(me)
T1.5 Infect
T1 B/W tokens
T2 Zoo
T1 amulet or bloom Titan whatever it's called
Then there's the Control home brew dude that wins
And a lot of other decent home brews

There's also my Bant Superfriends with (I think) 4 {Supreme Verdict} in the main board, plenty of control variants. (In higher tier Jeskai control) and a few decks that board in cards like {Whipflare}, {Pyroclasm} and {Anger of the Gods}.

Yep, also kitchen finks are great when board wipes are played so that's a way to keep myself alive without protection

UWR isn't played right now
Grixis control is even less played
Tron does have o stone but you don't want a dead card in your hand.

Point being is that very few decks run wipes that it's never relevant.

Twin has none
Abzan has none
Bloom has none
Scapeshift has Anger I guess
And Fabianos Sultai list ran damnation but still not enough to justify any anti wrath spells

Well, as I said my meta has board wipes which I'm somewhat prepared for. If I plan on going to a grand prix I'll run my affinity anyways lol
