Thought about it. Currently testing still to see if he's viable for my build

It just seems id rather be at Garruk or ugin by that point in the game

As far as rabble is concerned I don't really let him hit the ground but I can see how it dominates token decks

True. I run him in my side board and he's decent when he needs to be!

Skullguy725

Love planeswalker control
How do you plan to deal with U/W heroic?

MuggyWuggy

Don't let them have a creature on the board!

{gods willing} vs most removal and {valorous stance} agianst board wipe

Skullguy725

Sorry, I don't mean to pressure you, it's just that I took a heroic list to FNM recently, and it can be pretty scary sometimes

MuggyWuggy

People tap out and with all the removal available it hasn't been much of a problem. Kiora neutralizes the single guy, sultai charm takes care of enchants, usually most UW heroic list don't MB counters, for SB I add a 3rd bile, more drowns add negates

MuggyWuggy

I've got 6 forms of hard removal, then bile blight also.

I used to main 2 sagu maulers but prefer to be up game 1

Skullguy725

Good point- I forgot about the {Sultai charm} disenchanting.
Just watch out for {Stubborn Denial} witch is usually a 3 or 4-of in the heroic SB

MuggyWuggy

Yeah, usually it's a matter of just making them exhaust their tricks, then by t5 crux is happening if all else fails

LinkCelestrial

U/W heroic runs out of steam fast if they don't hit {Ordeal of Thassa}. Doesn't take too much for a deck like this to outlast them.

MuggyWuggy

I seem to luck out with thoughtseize in some games where I get to play 3 within the first 6 turns. Usually that can delay their whole game.

Also always take a hordeling outburst over rabble IMO

the_intelligentleman

How's your mono red match up? I run a similiar list, and it's not going great for me...

MuggyWuggy

Aggro is always a problem for control.

Thoughtseize, bile blight, and coursers are your friend

SB strat: more drowns, more blight, negates, feed the clan and fog

LinkCelestrial

If you draw {Drown in Sorrow} and can lean on {Sylvan Caryatid} and {Courser of Kruphix} for blocks mono red (and most aggro decks) are quite beatable. That's the thing about this deck, it has so many answers. Of course I have horrid luck and never draw what I need, but hey.

MuggyWuggy

Game 2 is one where you def want to start with mass removal early
