Being restricted to only 3 cmc and 49+ commander I'm wondering which would be better, mono or tri colored. Also, I do not play blue. I know that limits me a bit but it also allows me more room in my binders and a bit less confusion in picking cards. Anyways, your opinions plz. 👍

I'm doing a brimaz soldiers deck

My play group has been getting pretty into the format, and I can say that most decks work pretty well. The most impressive to me is  {Anafenza, the Foremost} As she has access to the best removal in the format ( {Putrefy},  {Vindicate},  {Toxic Deluge}, and let's not forget the best one that kills everything in tiny leaders,  {Abrupt Decay}) plus she works very well with utility creatures like  {Qasali Pridemage} And  {Scavenging Ooze}. Also she wears swords. Very. Very. Well.

Cool Tiny Leader Commanders:
{Thalia, Guardian of Thraben}
{Alesha, Who Smiles at Death}
{Doran, Siege Tower}
{Brimaz, King of Oreskos}
{Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest} Voltron deck
{Kira, Great Glass-Spinner}-blue, but you usually use it as a merfolk tribal deck.
{Ezuri, Renegade Leader}
{Merike Ri Berit} Also blue, but a great control deck
{Sydri, Galvanic Genius} Artifact deck
{Geist of Saint Traft} Voltron

I'm building my geist deck as more of a tempo thing. When you can drop a threat like geist on turn 2 or 3 and then just 1for1 them all game you can easily win. Don't get me wrong I'm running the legal swords and steel of the godhead but it's a tempo deck all the same.

Munchlax

{Animar Soul of Elements} Affinity deck. Just saying
Also {Mikeaus the Lunarch} has been amazing

InfinitiveDivinity

It's all about that {Doran the Siege Tower}.

So Thalia's ability does not create a problem with the 3 cmc rule I take it. I'm really liking the idea of using Anafenza. Just need to make it to one of the game shops around here to see what they'll let her go for. You guys've been cool and have provided a lot of options. Thanks!

{Anax and Cymede} because I'm a sucker for Boros! Lots of fun interactions and it's a stable deck.
{Teysa}, just cuz.

theravenseye

I found that {Jaya Ballard, Task Mage} us AMAZING as a commander. Throws away useless crap and have so much value with Madness and Flashback.

Spikepit

I'm pretty excited for a {Daxos of Meletis} deck, but since you don't run {U}, I'm also contemplating a {Athreos, God of Passage} Deck.

MuggyWuggy

Daxos deck and Anax and Cymede decks :)

White just seems so good with every protection spell

With commanders with an X in there cmc'a, would you be able to spend more than 3 mana on them?

for example, could I pay 6 mana for {mikaeus the lunarch}

Ye, because the lowest X can be is 0, so {mikeaus} is technically a 1cmc creature.
