Prelease: Birthday Style

So I've been at my cousin's since Friday cause the 2HG prerelease is /exactly/ on his birthday, and we went. We picked Jeskai and Mardu on a bit of a whim. Hadn't checked out the set too much. Kinda wish I'd gone Temur or Sultai. He ended up switching to run Abzan when the card pool settled.

We went 1-2. Yeah, that's bad. But it was due to mana flooding for me each time we lost. We only really won the last game cause my cousin's deck ran like a dream and I bluffed counters. Bluffing counters against newbies is ridiculously powerful. I only had two in our WHOLE POOL.

Notable pulls:

{Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest}: Not a terrible card. Just not that good either.

2x {Archfiend of Depravity}: We each pulled one. Sick card but it didn't do much.

{Wingmate Roc}: O_O best pull I got all night.

2x {Jeskai Charm}: Love it.

FOIL {Mardu Woe-Reaper}: Warrior tribal looks insane.

{Monastery Swiftspear}: Yeah!

{Grave Strength}: Idk if it is good, but it looks good.

{Hero's Blade}: EDH staple, anyone?

{Vaultbreaker}: He was actual super good. Let me pitch some of my mana flood for better stuff. I liked him.

{Surrak Dragonclaw}:My cousin is always lucky. But also in the pack was,

Junk rares: {Jeskai Infiltrator}, {Arcbond}, 2x {Temur War Shaman} (I'm not 100% sure what junk my cousin got. He got the warrior token maker as his promo.)

Prizing: {Mardu Woe-Reaper}, {Whisperwood Elemental}, FOIL {Valorous Stance}

Ugin Pack: Forest, Morph token, {RUTHLESS RIPPER}! {Ugin,- No a {Ainok Tracker}. Forever hate that card now.
