Noah and I are having a bit of a debate. Who would you think would be the better toolbox commander:

{Momir Vig, Simic Visionary}

Or

{Captain Sisay}

?

And why do you think they're superior? :)

I'd probably put in a vote for momir. A lot of it is because he can get multiple activations in a turn. Also, blue.

Momir is {U}, so that alone is a pretty big advantage, like allowing a counter suite if you wanted. Both having {G} allows for big fat fatties, but Sisay is so specific, he requires you to essentially run Legends.dec. Momir is also going to be throwing them directly into play most of the time. With {U} you can also access all of the good {Clone} effects like {Phyrexian Metamorph} and our new friend {Clever Imposter}. Although {W} brings with it all of the good spot removal. I personally would go Momir for fun ETB shenanigans and fun with Top.

Holy cow there are a lot of good Simic creatures (for full use of Momir's ability). Short list: {Edric, Spymaster of Trest}, {Experiment Kraj}, {Horizon Chimaera}, {Kruphix, God of Horizons}, and the {Cream of the Crop}: {Prophet of Kruphix}!!! There are tons more worthy of slots, and that's just the good multicolored!

Plus, if you play Momir, you can play all the cool Simic Counterspells.

I run Momir and Noah runs Sisay. I, of course, think Momir is much better, Noah disagrees. My Momir deck gets super rude. Maybe I will post my deck list! :D

I definitely want to see it! After mentioning all the pros to Momir, I got intrigued to built the deck. It seems relatively cheap to assemble too! Although I'm sure after staples are inserted it'll still be an easy $500.

Just for the record, scion of the ur dragon is the best toolbox general

Sliver Overlord can practically do anything, so I nominate him.

Of the two above, I'm going with Momir because blue has so much versatility that the quality of his toolbox is better.

LinkCelestrial

{Scion of the Ur Dragon} is better cause /dragons/. Slivers are overdone. :P

I also vote Momir, because he fetches any creature and I prefer {U}/{G} over {W}/{G} for decks in general.

Momir - simic is just more fun with commander stated

Sisay is better apart if a deck rather than commander IMO

Idk I'm a big fan of sisay just because fetching {Gaeas Cradle} is notable. Plus being in white gives you a good toolbox. Also, momir can only get green creatures.

Not true, "Whenever you cast a green creature spell, you may search your library for a creature card and reveal it. If you do, shuffle your library and put that card on top of it. Whenever you cast a blue creature spell, reveal the top card of your library. If it's a creature card, put that card into your hand." You can tutor any creature to the top. Also, by playing a UG creature, you can stack the triggers so that any creature goes straight to hand.
