I recently got a foil  {Marchesa, the Black Rose} For a pretty good deal, and now I'm interested in building an EDH deck out of her.

A few things I'm wondering:
-Are there ways to break her? (I.e. Combos)
-What cards would you consider "standard" for her?
-What hidden gems would you like to put in a deck like this? (Ones that may either not be the best cards but are fun, or ones that are very powerful and underrated in EDH)

P.S. Please do not comment "look it up yourself", I work 60+ hours a week while trying to have some kind of social life while dealing with other life events, and on top of that play magic as much as I can! I would love to look up cards or "net-deck" (which I kinda hate to do unless I have to) so all suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you! 😁

Undying with her is awesome sometimes hard to keep the counters stright.

{Repay in Kind} on a {Elite Arcanist} is good to keep dethrone going off as well as the card that switches life totals (cant remember the name)

{Magus of the Mirror} and {Soul Conduit} are my personal favourites

Thanks for the recommendations! Do you know of any creatures that might help?

Depending on human count in the deck,  {Mikaeus, the Unhallowed} would be a good way to get undying on many of your creatures.

{Mikaeus, the Unhallowed} Will most deffinetly be in there, he's just busted in EDH.  {Urabrask the Hidden} Seems good too

{Mikaeus, the Unhallowed} wont really do much for you because dethrone puts +1/+1 counters on the creatures when they attack so they wont come back from undying

It is more for protection when your creatures first come in before you can attack.

Yeah he's more there as just a really good creature. But I guess persist would work super well with marchesa.

JordanCirk

Hmm does anyone know of any good enchantments or artifacts that might help this decks cause?

Kaalia with haste

Marchesa infect is actually pretty effective. It works because they attack the player with the highest life total, get the counters, don't change their life total, but instead give them poison counters. It's hilarious. Also jokulhaups.

{Sage of Hours} should be good.

I'm not sure how good he is tbh, I'd have to swing 5 times to make him really good :/

That's a very interesting point... I might have to check that out now. Thanks! ☺️
