Dragonshields vs KMC

I have never tried kmc, but I love dragonshields. They're a little slippery at first but after a bit they're ok. Also they NEVER break.

kmc. I like the colours and smoothness and price more, and sturdiness is about the same.

I have pink dragon shields. I've had them for about a year now and I have yet to need to replace one. Super solid

I've used dragon shields for over 10 years, still have my original pair and they haven't split. They're durable, tons of colors, etc. I tried KMC twice but found that they shuffle funny and bend in the corners, making it even more annoying to shuffle. Plus dragon shields come with 100 I think KMC is 80? Could be wrong tho

Personal preference.  They are both the best on the market. I bought shields, but would not have felt bad if I had invested in KMC's.

Both are great. I personally use dragon shields,  because I love the notorious indestructibility of them. I don't mind the dirt that builds up on them,  it's easy to wipe/pick off, and the quality of the sleeves more than makes up for it. As a commander player,  packs coming in 100 instead of 80 is a big deal,  too. And there's always a few extras in there,  just to be safe

I do really like the hyper matte KMC though. They look and feel real nice,  and my preference for dragon shields is by no means from a dislike of KMC.

KMC, I have thousands of them, use them on cubes and decks with no problem.

This defines me exactly.  I am a convert to dragonshields after using ultra pros for ever.  I don't even want to think about switching again.

Which reminds me.....I have a ton of ultra pro shields if anyone wants them in a trade

Have both. Shields are nice but kmcs shuffle sweet and the stay clearer longer. Shields get scuffed up.

KMC all the way. They've got everything Dragon Shield has plus a billion times better shuffle feel from the stippled backs. They don't get dirty instantly and I double sleeve all of my cards anyway - so the KMC Perfect Fits fit well...perfectly into the KMC Hyper MAT

What I've always said:
Dragonshields for EDH and KMCs for competitive events.

Dragonshields come in packs of 100 and are damn near indestructible.  I've only one break on me, and it wasn't even me shuffling them.  However, the cut can sometimes be uneven, making me wary of using them at a competitive level.  KMC is nearly as durable and usually cut perfectly, make them my sleeve of choice for higher levels of play.
