So I'm asking for one commander 2014 deck for christmas and I have no idea which one to ask for. I am thinking green, blue, or black. Which one has the most value, best cards

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

Honestly, the best ones, and the ones with the most value are probably white and red. That said, green and black have a lot of cool cards with nice synergies.

They're all sweet. I just won a 4 hour game with the blue one. (The game was 6 players w/ one of each C2014 deck except 2 of the white one) most epic edh game i ever played

Really? I'm really disappointed in the blue deck, I wish it had some coheredness or synergy. For example, they had {Ixidron} and a bunch of Morph creatures, why not make it a morph deck? Also Gisa just makes absolutely no sense in the deck. That being said, you have played with it and I haven't, how did it do?

The late game ferocity was good. The synergies it has are not as obvious as with the other decks, but after playing such a long and epic game, i have to say the deck was put together quite well.

Did the black do well and was it geared as a mid early or late game stratagy

Mind seize 2013
This.
I started playing commander after i bought this deck. Nothing beats  {True-Name Nemesis}.

Well, except for any global effect whatsoever :P it's a great card, nonetheless!

And yes, the 2013 3-color Alara wedge decks are probably a stronger investment than the mono color 2014 decks. I haven't gotten to play with any of the 2014 decks yet (been laid out with a nasty cold, sinus infection, ear infection, and bronchitis for 2 weeks now) but they don't look as fun

The black one was actually the first eliminated. Probably because the most inexperienced player played with black, but it died first.

The black deck is gross, 2 of them were in a 7 player game this weekend, my 12 yo daughter placed 3rd and the guy that won was running black. It'll be the first one I pick up. I was running blue and I also was not incredibly impressed (though I may not have figured it out). The green one is also extremely dangerous and quick.

Yea the green one was public enemy no1 after a few turns of ramping into that wolf enchantment. We took him out though.

The red deck has a lot of great reprints/staples and a very powerful new card in Dualcaster Mage. However unless you have red EDH decks or reeeeally  like the color, you may be disappointed since its mono color. Again, it's more value and multiformat staples than cards you might end up using in your EDH deck. I bought mine with the intention of piecing it apart
