The elections are in November, the final count comes in December and they are inaugurated in January.
Close... So close...

Did you want me to include preliminaries?
Nope. Just the month the actual President and Vice-President Elections are.

The whole blue vs red team is the stupidest con that has been working for such a long time on the general public, preventing any true progress

This. So many people believe idiotic things because that's, "what their party says." It's okay to have party affiliations, but you still have to have your own brain.

As for Taysby: it is a well known fact that Republicans do very well in midterms, but during Presidential elections Democrats triple their voter turn-out.

The democrats have been stopping all republican bills also.  It's a two way street.
As if you guys tried to make bills that weren't made solely to screw over Obama and his fans. (With maybe a few exceptions)

Source?
Really?!?! Here's an example: The Republicans tried postponing the Affordable Healthcare Act's "penalties on companies who failed to provide health care coverage for their employees" and when they couldn't do it in sufficient time, Obama used an executive order to get it done. So then, Boehner brought a lawsuit against Obama for doing what the Republicans themselves were trying to do. THE NEXT DAY after filing suit, the Republicans asked Obama to do the same thing he was being sued for with an immigration bill. Even the conservative justices on the Supreme Court saw this as a ridiculous political stunt. If you honestly believe that the Republicans haven't been douches just for the sake of being douches, you're an idiot.

And you're an .rearexit. to jump right to thinking that I don't know what's going on and that I'm an idiot.
When you say idiotic things, it makes you look like an idiot....

He was insinuating that that was what republicans were mostly doing.  I disagree with that.
Saying, "well they don't spend every waking moment trying to screw Obama," doesn't make it better. They should be serving the people that elected them, not acting like .rearexit.s

And he was also insinuating that the democrats weren't doing the same things or overstepping what they should be doing.
There is some, but not nearly at the same level. Bush saw some resistance and was made fun of quite often, but he never saw the level of spite.

I wanted the link that showed the comparison of actual lawS to filibuster type things.
Try using words and I might be able to help you. Are you asking how many bills were filibustered?

Wow. this turned into something else entirely lol

Usually does with Taysby and .politics. :P it's always a fun read :D I'm Canadian so I can't contribute as much but I'm a Conservative here so my allegiance is mostly with the Republicans but tbh I don't follow US Govt at all

MuggyWuggy

Being conservative with political ideas does not make you a republican and liberal ideas do not make you a democrat

Simply a label for a division.

Mattao19

I know I mean that on the political spectrum I'm on the right side of things (makes me right, right? Lol)
