do you really play with a sideboard in your edh play group? or is it more like a maybeboard?
and dang your playgroup banned narset after you dropped all that the deck? rough. zur is just as degenerate though se be prepared to get him banned as well.

Actually, since Zur brings enchantments directly to the battlefield, they don't target. So you can attach an aura to him by using his ability even if he has shroud.
7/15/2006: If you use Zur the Enchanter's triggered ability to search for an Aura, it will be put onto the battlefield attached to an appropriate permanent. It doesn't target that permanent. If no appropriate permanent exists for it to be attached to, that Aura can't be put onto the battlefield and stays in your library.

Oh my goodness, NO TAYSBY! I WAS KIDDING! It will destroy your soul! Hahaha

But seriously, I used to run one casually back in the day and I can honestly say, less creatures more enchants. Reduce the 8 or so you've got to 4 or 5, if even that many. Zur is all the Attack you'll need. Especially with all the Enchant recursion available now.

So have a look at the stickied thread called Community Deck Spotlight, find the Esperian colour section and three there are quite good examples, especially Coffee Vampire's.

I'd say remove most creatures, leaving behind the ones concerned with enchants only PLUS {Umbra Mystic} to keep him alive. 

More basic land to be safe. I'm less concerned with tutors in a Zur deck. Maybe {Invincibility} and others from more recent sets, this deck list looks a little old from a quick scan of the list.

Yeah sweet! Ah you'll have a ball with Zur considering the way I can't tell you like play EDH.

As you can tell, I love me some Zur EDH, but it did begin to paint a target on your forehead. Fun you the pilot of the deck, not fun for the others. Most hilarious match I ever had with with guy as my commander was vs a {Uril, the Miststalker} deck. It was both like a race and a super evenly matched, Wolverine vs Kratos battle.

{Replenish} for sweeps/mass destruction and {Nevermore} for pesky commanders.

Your gonna want board wipes, token decks are the babe of Zur I gave learned, {supreme verdict}, {wrath of god}, {terminus}, there is also one which destroys non enchanted creatures but I can't recall it at the moment, {sudden Spoiling} is also very useful. Fewer creatures but I would use these three for sure {royal assassian}, {intrepid hero}, and {bruna, light of alabaster} works amazingly if u get wiped and ur enchants are in the graveyard. Cards like {oblivion ring}, {necropotence}, {prison term} and {nevermore} also help when ur gears get a wrench in them.

I'd add a {high market} it'll protect Zur from tuck spells like {terminus}, and it's balls to the wall crazy with academy rector

no. when you take damage, you lose life, not the other way around. when you pay life, you are not taking damage. even with {phyrexian unlife} on the field, you cant pay life you dont have, so once you get to 1 life, {necropotence} stops letting you draw cards.

Use all 9 fetches that are in your color
