What kinda story are they doing for this? Makes no sense and story is my favorite part of the game.

I'm highly surprised it wasn't Elspeth v. Xenagos, but then again that was all of Theros block.

There's almost no point to this VS deck. Looks to me as if WotC are grasping at straws.

I think they may rate it on the colours versus each other rather than solely the flavour. Look at Sorrin vs Tibalt, or Venser vs Koth, especially V vs K. A much better pairing if just flavour would have been Venser vs Tezzeret for that set, but {U} vs {U} wouldn't have been awesome.
