If I were to play {izzet boilerworks}, do I need to have another land in play to play it? Bc I thought since I don't have any other lands, I wouldn't have to return anything.

If there are no other lands in play it targets itself.

It works great for repeatable Landfall too.  Just keep playing and bouncing it.

Oh, I thought since you could only play one land per turn then playing it and having it return to your hand would still count. Learning new things as always!

Hm, makes sense...but it wouldn't help much. Playing lands that stay on the board would be much better! But I guess if you only have 1 land out...:0

I save it if I already have enough land on the table so that I can consistently trigger Landfall.
