Give me some input.

RUGmonster

this is very similar to the winner of the Star City Games tournament this weekend

It's difficult to request help on a standard with a new meta. Not every deck has been tuned nor and there have been multiple performers the past week.

Furthermore, you took a deck that topped at the tournament and simply changed a few cards specifically those suggested in an article you have already adjusted it. Until a meta has been established tuning a performing deck is next to impossible.

That's why I posted it.   I have several versions of this deck with up to 15 different cards.   Really I was just wanting any changes any of you guys have made.   Because I know for sure that I've missed a card here and there.   I just really like this deck because I was a burn player before rotation and this is in essence a burn deck.     I wasn't wanting like a fine tuning but rather ideas I could try that I haven't thought of yet.

I think this is more of a tempo deck. Countering Aggro and moving in with vigilance creatures or life gains. I find less tap lands are better for play.

I main board anger of the gods to ensure wipes of opponents board ramp dorks and goblins, which are pretty common

Here's some other ideas to my build

2 CTR - easy RUG removal
2 one drop tricks (gods willing/ajanis presence) - life savers
Keranos x2
Steam augury over dig thru time. This deck has so much gas you will pump thru it. Could combine 2 steam, 1 dig for really good filtering
Banishing light x3
Brimaz over Rabble - he's stronger, but I also prefer tempo/control rather than Aggro

List your different variations and sideboards to have adequate discussion about specific cards.

If your goal is tempo then A cards are better.

If you want to transition to control then B are better sided.

If you want a catch all game 1 then C are better.

Without your sideboard plans or deck goal stated its hard to suggest anything constructive. Your tempo is more burn atm. Tempo is defined as having more power present on board at all the times. Tempo decka win via overwhelming an opponent and force bad plays/blocks else facing death.

Yeah sorry maybe should have clarified what I want to accomplish with the deck.   I am more of a tempo player.    I always played UWR control and burn last rotation.  And when I seen this deck I auto loved it.

So my meta game is mostly aggro with a few. Midrange decks thrown in.   Yeah maybe brimaz is much better then ole rabble man himself.   We shall find out.

So I hope that this clears up some stuff.     I'll try and change up the deck a little bit when I get time.   I've been working way too much!
