21 or more to a single player from a single commander means they lose

Yes
Does this include non combat damage?
Curious for {Ruric Thar the Unbowed} cuz he seems like a pretty great commander.

I'm gonna buy a giant eagle bag. Write nope in black marker and give you that. You can keep it. Big bag of nope.

All you need to do is wait for them to gain life and bam! Instant win

Lol damn you :P

Also worth noting you can die from your own commander lol {Karona the False God} can kill you lol happened to me more than I care to admit lol

Yep, it's why people hate on {Heartless Hidetsugu}...

commander damage is only combat damage. many commanders would be totally broken if not like {kaervek the merciless}. let me grab a ruling.

from commander.net :

If a player has been dealt 21 points of combat damage by a particular Commander during the game, that player loses a game.

so {heartless hidetsugo} will not do commander damage if he activates his ability. when you draw cards with {nekusar, the mindrazer} on the field, you will not take commander damage, only normal damage.

Really???
Do you have a rule posting for that???

yea edited with ruling.

Gorzo

It is for sure combat damage only. People hate on Heartless Hidetsugu, but it has nothing to do with commander damage, it's just because he's a jerk ;)

Well that changes things

yea generally the only way to kill someone with commander damage is voltroning up.

21 adds up pretty quick. {Kresh the Bloodbraided} and {Grimgrin, Corpse-Born} both tend to get there in one swing, and there are lots of biggun's who get there in 3 hits like  {Maelstrom Wanderer} and {Zurgo Helmsmasher}

{raafiq of the many} also normally gets there in three turns if he attacks the same person.

And  {Vorosh, the Hunter}

griffin131

{Jenara, Asura of War} can get there really quickly as well.

With all the boosting cards in my {Kaalia of the Vast} deck, I can push her from a 2/2 to a...

Something big. Hang on...
{Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite} = 4/4...
{Sword of Kaldra} = 9/9...
{Godsend} = 12/12...
{Ogre Battledriver} = 14/12...

Yeah, that's pretty good. XD

Deathstorm

I like ruhan and the godhead auras

Spikepit

My Norin Commander can ... do nothing but give me the giggles. 😁
