Well, this happened kinda quickly.  Feel free to move this to the EDH section.

Basically:
Erayo, Rofellos and Braids are totally banned
Kokusho and Metalworker are unbanned

Kinda glad braids got banned
Very OP very early

i got no problem with that. i always feel gross when i drop braids on turn 2 after a sol ring. happy erayo is getting banned, he is broken. not sure rofellos needed to be banned, green has a ton of mana anyway and he dies to doom blade and doesnt have haste.

Totally agree with these decisions.

{Erayo, Seratomi Ascendant} deserves it, for obvious reasons.
{Braids, Cabal Minion} deserves it, for obvious reasons.
{Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary} deserves it for putting a single player at an unmatchable mana advantage

{Metalworker} deserves the unban - needing cards left in hand, and those cards have to be artifact and you have to show them to your opponents is a big enough downside to keep Metalworker fair. Potentially extremely nasty, but fair.
{Kokusho, the Evening Star} is fine. After her 'unbanned except as a commander' she proved that, while definitely a great card, it's not format-breaking. My only problem is that, like with {Child of Alara}, I know I'm going to have to explain to someone with a Kokusho deck that she needs to go to the graveyard for her death ability to trigger, and putting her back in the command zone is a replacement effect that prevents it from going to the graveyard and triggering.

Looks like now I need a {Metalworker} for Arcum... Damn it, I was almost finished! 😢

It's bittersweet for me.  I'll miss powering out a million mana with Rofellos in {Yisan}, but I'm absolutely ecstatic that I get to play Metalworker in a Kurkesh deck that's 65% Artifacts.  Already ordered one.

Don't worry, powering out a billion mana is still pretty easy in mono green. {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} or {Karametra's Acolyte} are usually all you need :P

I need to get a Metalworker for my Sydri deck, huh?

Braids isn't that bad...why is it banned? It did not make sense to ban it as a commander, but I could maybe see it. Banning it outright is just sorta silly.

They're trying to shift away from having two ban lists (they mentioned it in the post).  Instead, one of their ban criteria is going to be "Problematic as a Commander".  If they would ban it as a commander, like Erayo, Braids or Rofellos, they're just going to straight-up ban it.

You could still get it out fast even if not your commander:
t1 dark ritual, sol ring, vamp tutor braids
T2 braids
Now frack your couch.

Any card can be broken in a godhand. {Smokestack} is more problematic then Braids, she's just a good stax card that is soft to removal. There are more oppressive strategies. I think that the context they place certain cards in is a bit narrow. I don't know why they just don't maintain both lists, it made sense...
