With the release of the next KoT we will have all 10 fetch lands in modern for the first time ever.
How much do you my fellow planeswalkers think this will change modern?

What deck do you think will become viable as all mana bases will be more reliable and deck thinning in is a thing in every deck.

I'm excited about this massive possible change to the best magic format hope you are to.

I am super excited!  I know it will help most decklists all around.  I can't see it shaking up the meta though.  It is already very easy to do mana fixing with the zendikar fetches and shock lands.

And just like that I think cruel control might be viable now

Hunteroffire9

im so excited, now I will be able to buy cheap fetches! (Not 60+ dollars!)

Im preordering sets, they better have the enemies in the rest of the block.

Who cares about enemies now? Bc now enemy fetches will drop bc modern players who play Jund/any Alara block will trade in enemy fetches for buddy ones. Therefore I feel like the enemy fetches will drop to like $30ish for nonblue and $50 for blue

Yeah, but with a reprint, they could go down to $10 or so.

We won't get the other 5, they aren't that old. That close of a reprint would destroy the market and piss a lot of players off. This was clearly designed to soften prices of the zendikars and drop the old ones so people have an easy entry into modern and legacy.

As for modern, I'm sure new decks will show up, adding further diversity to the meta. Glad they aren't afraid to reprint big cards at high prices. Makes me wonder what reprint players will lobby for next.

I don't know, I think they will be in the third set. It gives us fixing after Khans rotates (under the new 2 block/year standard) and the way the allied fetches look, it would be perfect to go from the whole, "where dragons once" back in time to "dragons rule." I'm calling it now, third set will have enemy fetches.

InfinitiveDivinity

Allied fetches won't do much in Modern. They'll allow slightly more streamlined manabases, but the 5 Zendis already pretty much had that covered. I don't see them reprinting the Zendikar ones though. Why would we need them? With the allied ones that is plenty of fixing right there. Throwing enemy fetches into the mix doesn't really do anything at all other than change a 4/4 split in shard/wedge decks to a 3/3/2 split with one of the 3 being enemy fetches.

all i know, i'll finally be able to afford fetches and finish my goyf-less naya zoo...
