I just noticed something pretty interesting, I honestly wasn't aware of this and just saw it when I was flipping back on forth on both pictures on here. {Nissa Revane} has her cleavage showing in her Zendikar picture, but on the DotP promo she has everything covered up. I just thought it was funny 😄. Technically the promo is an alternate art. Pretty dumb seeing as how there are far more promiscuous cards out there.

I never noticed that, I always thought it was a part of her shirt but you definitely pointed that out ha

Wizards has been consciously moving away from portraying women as sexual objects, and including more women planeswalkers and on more cards.

Yeah, don't you guys remember the uproar over {Triumph of Ferocity}? People were pissed....

Are you kidding me, there was one where she had him pinned also... That's ridiculous

Yeah, but people who didn't see the other card and didn't realize that it was part of the story were mad. Here is what Wizards said in response to the "outcry":

While I agree and understand that wizards is right to respond this way, and sure changing the way cards are depicted is fair.

This still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Even the flavor text has a nod at the situation
Your under the presumption in the card that she cursed him, it's fatal, and what you don't expect Garruk (primal beastman) garruk to not retaliate. They are plainswalkers for crying out loud not a context of a man and woman.

Meh whatever
It is what it is.

Well not for nothing, but out of context the artwork on {Triumph of Ferocity} is pretty horrifying. We know because we play the game what exactly is going on. Someone on the outside or even someone who hasn't seen {Triumph of Cruelty} or doesn't know the story it is not a stretch for them to be like "What is going on in this game?"

But it is flavorful artwork if you think about it. Buy foil copies, who knows, they might be worth something some day. They sure as hell won't be reprinted with that art.

I might get the foils of both, I always thought as a player at the time, just minding my business drafting or whatever that they were really cool cannon pictures. but yeah out of context sure I see that, but how many things piss people off when you take them out of context... I mean seriously... Let's take all entertainment out of context and make everything pc so no one is offended ever regardless of the story theme or context. It's just a little aggravating but I do get your point.
