Needs some touching up. Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm also trying to keep it mostly ready for the coming Standard season.

I'd side an aetherling for another chasm skulker. Have you tested?

I've played it a lot since I threw it together two days ago (without realizing that mono blue control was already a thing) and it did fairly well. However, I haven't tried it as it's listed here. I haven't an Ætherling in it, and some minor things are moved around. I'm also currently in the market for two {Chasm Skulker} to complete my set. Regardless, it's SUPER fun to play!

Tabooist

I love chasm skulker and the leviathan. I rock that in my simic deck. I'm not a great control player so I can't make any really helpful suggestions.

Ekann1

AEtherling seems super good in this.

Ekann1

Have you considered off color scrylands?

Well, I already +1'd you on that Swamp thing, so all I can do for now is thank you for taking a look anyway! 👍

Thanks! It dawned on me just today how stupid that thing is in control decks and that mine was a control deck... Lol. I haven't considered the lands, but I did give {Omenspeaker} a thought... They're a bit more for quick drop creatures with delightful scry. If I get desperate I can {Voyage's End} them and play them again. I typically end a good game with 10+ lands out, which leaves room for that and still counter spells during their turn.

Actually, that sounds pretty good to me. I wish I could fit that last {Griptide} back into the main board, and I wish that I had room for {Opportunity}. X/ It's close...

MtJesus-Johnson

Let's give that a shot! {Swan Song} is something that I was thinking of putting in eventually. Perhaps a switch for {Gainsay} in part in the future.

How do you beat {mist cutter hydra}? Also, {Jace architect of thought}, {Jace memory adept} and {Jace, the living six pack}.

Seems to me it could use more ætherspouts... But I'm not a big control player so could be wrong lol

I agree with the {ætherspouts} as a 4 of in this deck. Put your army on the bottom or make you have to replay the army while I dig sounds pretty good. I would also consider {void snare} as well. Just a quick bounce spell that can help stall on a plains walker or a banishing light. To me {jace's inginuity} as a 4 of is a little high. I would have 2 and I would also consider {font of fortunes} as well in mixture of {divination}. Gives you the ability to hold open 3 mana for your counter spells and still draw 2 cards. And you can play it a turn earlier as well. Just my thoughts if I were to go mono blue control
