{Pithing Needle}, because,

It doesn't die to creature removal.
It's one mana less.
It's harder to slow down with bounce spells.

But doesn't stop creature created mana

Very small drawback compared to the upsides. How often do you play {Phyrexian Revoker} on a mana rock? It's more likely to be nailing Planeswalkers or other nasties.

The drawback of not being able to attack for two is pretty relevant though...

Not if the {Phyrexian Revoker} is actually being productive. There's no way they wouldn't block and kill it if it's tying up anything important. Short of having no creatures in which case a 2/1 really isn't your best damage output.

A 2/1 for damage output is still MUCH better then no damage output at all....lol there is really no argument against that

Having the card sit there and do what it's supposed to is better than having it removed from the battlefield. No argument there. ;)

My point was that if you have your opponent open for hits with a 2/1 you're going to be swinging bigger nasties.

My argument is that {Pithing Needle} is better because it's way more likely to sit there and do what it's supposed to do. {Phyrexian Revoker} is just too fragile in comparison to have a 2/1 frame and mana rock stoppage make up for it.

I'm looking at two cards that do basically the same thing and I'm saying this,

"that card will do it better cause it's most likely to not get blown up. By a lot."

You are looking at these same cards and saying,

"This one does more stuff, therefore it's better."

In this case I think I'm right (of course I do I'm me) because the effect we're looking at is best when it's hardest to get rid of.

This isn't {Shock} vs {Lightning Bolt}. It's utility vs survivability.

They are situationally better, but in my opinion {Pithing Needle} is going to be better most often.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or put you down, I'm just trying to back up my statement.

Lol 2 of each. Hard tacos or soft.. Both is always the answer. I'll see which one does better
