This is over an $1,000 deck....it's super badass because of the tribal theme, but EDH is something I play minimally, and for fun, I couldn't live with myself and a $1,000+ deck.

Given all of that, I'm extremely  jealous.

I wanna make an Illusion based one (my favorite tribe), but I can't figure out a lord. Maybe {Kira, Great Glass-Spinner}

That would still force u to sac the illusion. Just targeting it will kill it whether or not its countered

Well, just some of the Phantasmal guys, not the Mistform clan (although they kinda suck, except {Mistform ultimus} and {Mistform warchief}).

I'm gonna work on it as we speak.

Can you target a creature in hand with {amoboid changeling}s affect?

Ty what about against a {kahlia of the vast deck}? Could I take creature types away from the creature she would summon?
You can use {amoeboid changling} to snatch any creature with {sliver overlord's} ability

if ur asking a question which i believe is inside the quote (happens to us all) about taking away creature types that kaalia could summon then no. You would have to target them while they are in thier hand otherwise they are already on the field tapped and attacking.

{amoeboid changling}+{sliver overlord} can steal any creature on the battlefield (provided they dont have shroud/Hexproof, or protection). 
{Amoeboid} -> target creature becomes every creature type -> "sliver" is a valid creature type -> {Sliver Overlord} gains control of target sliver permanently.

Creatures in people's hands can't be the target of either of their abilities, because you have no idea which creatures are in their hand or not.
