EDH Game

So on friday, i played a game of edh. 

I had a {balance} in my starting hand, so i got an idea.  Someone I was playing against had a deck to win my turn 6 at the latest.  so I dropped 2 lands and did nothing else except discard down to 7. 

Then he would be untapping with 9 mana, so I balanced down to 2 lands, 0 dudes and 4 cards in hand. 

1 of the cards I discarded was a {celestial archon} and i topdecked {animate dead}, which was SUPER HAWT. 

Then I was the huge target for the rest of the game, even though I didn't have an obvious advantage.  (I think it was because I was using my commander to steal other peoples commanders.  ) 

An Hour after the game should have ended, there was still no end in sight so I scooped and left (it was midnight).  Just because of that 1 balance, the game never ended.  It was the play of the night. 

It was ridiculous.
