Tron wrecks pod. Conan and I discussed this in a thread in the Modern section.

Ok, if Conan and Deathly can both agree on this... I'd still like to se a video against competent Mpod.

Whether it does or not, melira is still tier 1 and tron....well it's not quite there.

Tron has enough prevalence to see Tier 1 play, just no top 8. In numbers and percentage, it is tier 1.

There. This is from a year ago, but the decklists haven't changed that much in these, so done.

Tier one is pretty much defined has having high finishes, Tron is not tier one. Another thing to consider in this debate is the fact that Pod decks and Tron decks have so much variance in the deck lists.

Tier 1 is considered more than just high finishes. It is also about being prevalent in the meta as a consistent deck to see come day 2 of an event and it does have big finishes in MTGO top 8. Consistent finishes too, being at 7% of the amount of decks that are seen. Twin and Affinity at are 10% of decks. Jund was at 14% near both Times of its bannings. Tron is Tier 1.

And there is variance, but only in numbers. The key cards are usually the same and in the same amount. The core of the deck stay the same as well, and so does the play style. Variance means nothing if the deck has the same play style because it is usually how a match would play out.
