If i use the -3 ability on an indistructable creature would i still get the health even though he wasnt truely destroyed

I don't see why not. Seems like the ruling would be similar to {Destructive Revelry}. That even though it wasn't destroyed, you still gain life.
Destructive Revelry ruling for reference (just substitute creature for artifact/enchantment)
9/15/2013: You must target an artifact or enchantment to cast Destructive Revelry. If that artifact or enchantment is an illegal target when Destructive Revelry tries to resolve, it will be countered and none of its effects will happen. No damage will be dealt. However, if Destructive Revelry resolves and the artifact or enchantment isn't destroyed (perhaps because it has indestructible), damage will be dealt.

For the JOU artifact {Godsend}, I'm assuming you are attacking: You attack, and they declare blockers in the Declare Blockers step.
{Godsend} effect will activate, and you may exile the blocking creature. Your attacking creature will still be blocked and no damage will be dealt,
Unless
Your attacking creature has trample. In this case, your creature will deal all its damage to defending player/planeswalker as though it was blocked by a creature with 0 toughness.

For future reference, different questions need to be asked in different threads.
Also, link your cards using {} brackets.
