Agrus strikes back. I don't know that Piotr would implement this, more likely it would be a joint effort between mods and "citizens", but I was wondering if we could switch away from the "Standard: post a lot of random decklists" thing we have going on and switch to a set-up like MTGSalvation has. Basically, they have a "Proven" section that starts out with a primer of the archetype and then leads into a discussion of the archetype and decklist analysis. I think this would be preferable to the everyone post a list and fight for attention set-up we have now. My vision for implementing this would be for each format (except for Casual and possibly EDH) to have "Proven" and "Budget" folders stickied to the top of the page. Below would be random decklists. I am not very good at explaining this, please check out MTGSalvation to see what I am talking about.

I see what you mean, but I don't think that I'd like to see "mono blue", "mono black", "RG Monsters" and "BW Control" as the only thing in a thread... I feel like home brews need the same attention...

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

Definitely. MTGSalvation has (not on standard, but on other formats) "Proven" which are tier 1 decks, "Established" which are tier 2, "Deck Creation" where newer ideas/less successful decks are posted, and a "Budget" section.

I believe taysby tried to keep everything up to date on top 8 decks but after a while he gave up

Could be worthwhile to have a tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 (etc) sticky. Muggy's right though, it's a hard thing for one person to keep on top of though Taysby did a bang up job on the tier 1 section. Agrus, maybe if you build a tier two and 3 we could sticky it right under taysby's...

Well you have to actually change something in the app for decklist to go to a new sub forum.

We could just keep a Top 8/16 post in each forum stickied. It would be up to the user like argus to keep it maintained with the current top 8 so the community has a better understanding of current meta.

EDH tier is kinda weird though I think the combos that are sticky should work for EDH

MuggyWuggy

So you want new forums for tier only?

That's gonna require work by Piotr as he will have to rework how deck builds are posted etc

My suggestion would be to do something similar to what dude core did for edh. Post and sticky something on top. Then link to a well written up deck list. One that breaks down the deck. Then if there are similar decks post them under with more links.

Pretty much maintaining your thread of top tier decks seems best
