Is the damage that Hidesugu deals decided once it is put onto the stack or as it resolves? Because if so, {Rings of Brighthearth} and {Illusionist's Bracers} work as well! Either way they are pretty good additions though.

I use him in  {Ruric Thar, the Unbowed}. He hurts. A lot. We are all at 40 health? Swords on ruric? In response tap hidetsugu. You are at 14. I mean, I'm at 20 but you're at an obvious disadvantage

Give him lifelink and watch everyone cry. I half you and you and you and me and look at that 100 life! Of course you need equipment for that and all I know of is {Basalisk Collar}. It's so worth a dig though.
