When you cast Genesis Hydra, reaveal the top X cards for your Library. You may put a nonland permanent card with converted mana cost X or less from among them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle the rest of your library.

At first look it looks slightly slow and or clunky. Now think again! For 7 mana you get a 5/5 the could give you cards like {storm breath}, and don't forget you can even get planeswalkers, enchantments, artifacts, etc. Even if the hydra is countered you still get your nonland permanent! This will be extremely annoying for control and a great 2 for 1! So...what do you think?

Amazing, I think this could cause RGx monsters to revert back to the original RG more devotion based deck. This is like a bad {Bloodbraid Elf}, but there is a big difference between Modern and this standard's power level.

Definitely a first pick draft, and it will most likely see play in standard. And who cares about the cost. I mean, you're green, mana doesn't even matter to you!

I'm very surprised this card is only 2 dollars on tcgplayer, and could easily go up to 5-15 if it is played in a monsters build.

T2: {Temple of Abandon}, {Burning-Tree Emissary}, {Burning-Tree Emissary}, {Magma Jet}
T3: {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx}, lands generate 5, plus mystic is 6 so you cast this for 6, flipping a {Polukranos, World Eater} onto the field. Or God scenario cast {Xenagos, the Reveler} (tapping forest, temple and Mystic), plus 1 for 3 mana, Nykthos for 6, total of 7 meaning you flip {Stormbreath Dragon} onto the field.

Yeah, Riku plays a lot of value creatures and paying even 10 to get two of these with X=6 is crazy. Oh, so for 10 mana I get two 6/6s, a {Prophet of Kruphix} and a {Keranos, God of Storms} (just two random things, obviously there are other options).

card is so bonkers in green devotion with voyaging satyr and nykthos. i might pick up a few for speculation.
