Um, no.  Tron is good.  8 rack doesn't win very often.  Mainly because it has no dudes.  Waste not will help, but not make it competitive.  It is really fun to play though.

I think it's to slow, turn three technically I think before you can really utilize it. And that's the third turn you have to control things that way. By turn four discard is irrelevant because that's usually when people play out they're hand against hand control.
