So a while ago it was stated that we would see fetchlands, but Wizards takes a little bit of time to react, leading people to believe that we would see them in two years (because that is how far ahead of release they start do design for a set), but then this comment was in the release notes for BNG:

"DH 8/16: Question for the general population: Is this supposed to be "Pay 1 life, T: ..." instead?
KD 8/20: Per Dave and Erik: Now pay life rather than deal damage, to match the land cycles we are most likely to reprint."

This MUST reference fetches, because they are the only cycle with that template. This gave everyone hope and now we find out that M15 has an enemy color theme. Here is what I think: Khans is a wedge set and will feature the enemy colored fetches. I am about 95% sure on this.

Vindog

What are enemy fetches the onslaught ones?

I'm hoping this is true and gets confirmed soon if so, as I need some fetches and can't afford them right now :(

Me too, {Scalding Tarn}s are expensive. We will learn more on July 24th because of SDCC.

Meh. 1 day before the gp I'm going to is not going to help.

TreeSmoker

I've been hearing no fetches for a couple of years.

Mattao19

I hope they come back soon. Like in Standard fetches would be so bad!! Like pay 1 life find a basic forest or basic island is not great lol they'd only be used to thin out decks

That's because in an interview one of the top Magic officials said that fetches would be reprinted, but Wizards would take some time to react. Because Wizard's Design process is two years ahead of release, many believed this meant two years, but in all actuallity they could very easily slip them into a set during its development, so if they needed to act fast, we could see fetches in any set.

many they'll be in a FTV!
I doubt that. The reason they'd reprint the fetches in am standard set would be to make modern more accessible. The reason it wouldn't be in an FTV is because the people who buy those are the people who are already in modern. Otherwise they're not useful.

that time i was trolling.  I thought it was obvious.  :P
Most of what you post sounds like you're trolling, so we can never tell ;)

I mean, if they did decided to throw fetches into a set now is the time because magic is huge right now. This game is at a high point and with modern and legacy being pushed heavy by WOTC they need to give access to the land base for the new players. Further more, some cards from M15 do have reactions with searching decks etc so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to give them a shot

not trying to argue, as i dont know the formats. but, most of the legacy/modern players around me think wizards is only pushing modern and doesnt support legacy.

Remillo

Wizards doesn't actively support Legacy anymore, aside from occasionally hosting a Grand Prix for the format, and occasionally print cards in new sets and Stand-alones that are designed for the format (like {True-Name Nemesis}).  The reason for Legacy's boom over the past few years (and the subsequent skyrocketing prices) are largely thanks to Star City, who have a Legacy Open almost every weekend.  If SCG didn't start supporting the format like they did, the prices would be much, much lower, but Legacy would also basically be a dead format...  Except in certain communities (like mine) that have very active Legacy and Vintage players.
