In August my LGS is doing exactly what the title states, with 1st place getting a sealed FTV: 20! What deck should I play? I have 2 months to learn how to play it, but I don't want something ridiculously complicated. I've been looking at B/G Obliterator Rock stuff, and so far that's what I'm leaning towards. Opinions?

Edit: Also want to say that while I pay attention to modern I do not have my own modern deck already, so I am somewhat inexperienced in the format.

Spencer Addington

Affinity, melira pod, kiki pod, merfolk, MURICA control, living end, tron, splinter twin, kiki exarch(I can't remember the official name if the deck), 8-rack and countless other decks. These are what modern is made of. What is your play style

UWR is always fun. If I had the money, that's what I'd play. Depends on your play style though.

Munchlax

Merfolk is stupid good in modern. As is affinity

I don't really have a play style... I've played everything from aggro to control to combo. I just like decks that require intelligence to pilot.

tron, and no other decks. These are what you should play

I fixed it.

but really, if money is no object, and you want to go with what the majority of people feels is a good deck (there goes tron) pod is your best bet.  side some torpor orbs for the match against splinter though.  yes, it hurts you.  it turns off their combo though, and you can beat them with value.
I think it'll make you happy to learn that my real non proxy modern deck I'm working on is Blue Tron.

UWR Control/Midrange might be hard to pilot

Pod is impossible to learn in 2 months!

Twin is hard but you can learn quickly

Bogle is very easy to play and powerful!!

RDW is for noobs bits it still very powerful!! (But I will judge you if you play RDW :P)

I suggest straight UR Tempo Twin or Bogle :)

ew, no.  why?  rg tron is much better.  mono u is not ever tier 2...
Alright then, how much does rg tron cost without groves?

Mattao19

What does full proxy mean? Does it mean that you can have all Proxied cards?

InfinitiveDivinity

Play Blue Moon lol. I'm sure a lot of people won't expect it.

Why {U}{B}? What's the {U} for?

It is a version less people expect. And U is for less painful spellskite, and some other cards I can't remember atm. I'll find the list in a bit
