{Darksteel Forge}, doesn't help with animar, so maybe bring a couple auras that give it indestructible?

Try creature based counterspells like {mystic snake} and {draining whelk} :) they have great synergy with animar,

...and if you are using cloudstone curio, then the bounce creatures need to be added as well!

If u go with snake and whelk dont forget your {Mimic Vat}

 {Cloudstone Curio} is super fun with 2 eldrazis to bounce with a built up animar for many " casting" effects but the only thing that sucks about the curio is that it doesn't work with artifact creatures!

You can bounce artifact creatures just fine, but Cloudstone Curio only triggers off of non-Artifact permanents.  You can bounce your Atlas, but you can't Bounce WITH the Atlas.
