In a tournament how do you verify your opponent is casting a miracle card legitimately and not cheating? Are you supposed to keep your first drawn card seperate?

{entreat the angels} for instance

Usually when I draw a miracle card, I keep it off to the side to show that it's separate. But in a tourney, a judge or ref will call it if they try to play a miracle card illegally.

If it is a miracle card, it has to be the first card drawn and it has to be distinct from the rest of the hand. Once it touches any other card in the hand, even if you know what card it is, it cannot be considered distinct and cannot be cast for it's miracle cost

This.

A notice went out pretty soon after AVR's release for Judges.  If a player draws a card and it touches the other cards in his or her hand, it's no longer cast able for miracle.  It became standard practice during the time they were in Standard (and even now for Legacy Miracle decks) to simply prop up the top card to check it before drawing it.

I say just keep it separate:)
