Does casting boon satyr flash count as a creature spell? I would like to know for game day since I have the "spells that target creatures cost 2 less to cast"

Ekann1

Casting as a creature, or bestowing onto another creature?

{Hero of Iroas} will make {Boon Satyr} cheaper to bestow on a guy but you won't be able to cast it for {g}{g}.

TreeSmoker

Casting as a flash bestow.
Will it cost 2 less with the Jin game day card that makes target creature spells cost 2 less to cast.?

Ekann1

Yes. However, you cannot use that card in the real tournament.

I know
Was just making sure for game day so when i bestow it for 3 nobody looks at me like I'm crazy
Does it go to the graveyard when you do that?

Ekann1

Do what? The Hero card can ONLY be used in the Defeat a God challenge, and when playing that you're playing by yourself and no one cares.

TreeSmoker

Okay
I was just wondering
So you cant lose and you cant be considered a cheat? Lol

Ekann1

I'm not sure what you mean about losing... but this would not be cheating.  Personally if you were cheating in your game against the auto deck I wouldn't care... in the real tournament is a different story but I would think no one would mind what you do if you are playing by yourself.

TreeSmoker

Well thank you
I just wanted to make sure boon would count as a target creature spell for bestow

Ekann1

When you bestow something it gains "Enchant Creature". This means it targets, so you'd get the cost reduction you want.

702.102a Bestow represents two static abilities, one that functions while the card with bestow is on the stack and another that functions both while it's on the stack and while it's on the battlefield. "Bestow [cost]" means "You may cast this card by paying [cost] rather than its mana cost." and "If you chose to pay this spell's bestow cost, it becomes an Aura enchantment and gains enchant creature. These effects last until one of two things happens: this spell has an illegal target as it resolves or the permanent this spell becomes, becomes unattached."

702.5a Enchant is a static ability, written "Enchant [object or player]." The enchant ability restricts what an Aura spell can target and what an Aura can enchant.
