Sorry I didn't quite finish that yet, I have a parting thought on it.  In the same way that they use it to employ a sense of relaxation, if they don't do it around you, it could also be because they respect you enough that they don't want you to see them make a very crude joke.  There are two sides to the coin.

I would think a deaf person could. I mean vibrations from say a speaker give off bass and they're deaf not dead and all rhythm is, technically, would be the bass.

Now I have one: If the sun were closer (presuming we wouldn't all die from the immense heat and extra gravitation forces) how long would the day be? Lets say its simply 5,000,000km closer.
