So i found a place to play in my town, but theres a problem...
They only play legacy, me personally think standard is the best for a good clean fun game of magic. They think standard is dumb cause it changes so offter. Dont get me wrong but legacy seems broken to me like crazy. And there spending all kinds of money on cards its impossiple to live past turn 3 playing them. So whats a way i could make them like standard?

Can't say what would make them like standard, you have a better chance going casual or commander, just to enjoy, keep a standard deck built and play Skype if you rally can't find anyone to play with until a big Tourniment comes up

Do they play competitively 1v1, or larger casual free-for-all games?  My group plays Vintage legalities, but I can still kick ass with a good budget deck if I need.

If they're playing nothing but 1337 Legacy turn two ridiculousnesses, then you can either build stronger Standard decks based on their meta and try to win those ({Grafdigger's Cage}, {Mana Leak} and I think the new {Second Guess} might help...), or accept that they are playing decks with more power potential and just have fun and learn what you can from the old dogs.

You are not going to convince guys who have spent literally thousands of dollars on a card collection to leave them at home.  They also aren't going to have fun winning too easily all the time either, it's like racing a two-legged cat.

You wear clip-on ties and Velcro shoes, don't you.

Hurray for succeeding without really trying to hard!! 🏆

Maybe convince them to draft, and play block constructed for awhile? Or build a legacy budget merfolk and upgrade as you move along.

5 guys throwing in $20 a week, grab a box and have fun that way. I don't really know, that is what my playgroup does once a month. We also have Legacy Decks too...
