No. Wait. When you asked how much mana he had, he responded 6. But at the time, unless I counted wrong, he only had 9 available. So he plays his creature, untaps his lands, plays azami, plays snappy, but he didn't have mana to flashback. He couldn't have countered, and would have less than 6 open. Explanations?

I cycled after his untap phase. During his upkeep. Regardless he would have had the mana, as he flickered venser with deadeye for {1}{U} to bounce Erayo, making sure {Voidmage Husher} wouldn't be countered. Played husher for {3}{U}. 6 mana would've done it.

Actually he couldn't have cast {Palichron} anyway. Azami costs five, and he cast her first.

Have you been accounting for  {Extraplanar Lens}? I'll look back. I just had assumed he was keeping up with his mana, and he didn't miss a land drop so he was just pooping stuff out with his level of acceleration.

Wait, if I countered azami, he flickered venser, he shouldn't have been able to cast palinchron, right? Or are we both missing something? I'm about to write it down
