Coat of arms Gives each creature +1/+1 for each creature that shares a creature type with it. My question is artifact considered a creature type for this effect?

Artifact is a card type, same as creature.

A creature type is the word after the dash in a creature card. For example: {Heliod, God of the Sun} is a god creature type.
