Usually cards that have "can only attack alone" are only affected during the declare attackers step and do not care about afterwords.  I will do further research.

Here we go.
508.4. If a creature is put onto the battlefield attacking, its controller chooses which defending player or which planeswalker a defending player controls it's attacking as it enters the battlefield (unless the effect that put it onto the battlefield specifies what it's attacking). Such creatures are "attacking" but, for the purposes of trigger events and effects, they never "attacked."

509.4g An ability that reads "Whenever [this creature] attacks and isn't blocked, . . ." triggers if no creatures are declared as blockers for that creature. It won't trigger if the attacking creature is blocked and then all its blockers are removed from combat.

So since it only says attacks alone kaalia will bypass this check, and since his trigger happens as soon as no blockers are declared, the defending players life total is set to 1, and assuming kaalia was not blocked as well it will assign combat damage and kill the defending player.

Pi

Then would kaalia also trigger exalted?

I just wanna say how accurate all your rulings have been. +1 and keep up the good work!

P.S. yes, if Kaalia is declared alone, she will trigger exalted then your angel/demon/dragon from hand hits the board, Kaalia still gets exalted
