And i counter disagree because it gives players NEW TO THE FORMAT(not the game, ths what casual and standard are for) a flavoring of what is around in modern. The top 8 list only gives people decklists to netdeck from or sideboard against. I actual preferred Taysbys because it gave me better ideas of what i can do in modern, besides just netdeck from top 8. You can say it wasnt helpful or whatever youd like but it was still quite nice especially for someone who wants to sample ALL of modern rather than just look at the very best decks and use those. Using your argument, this isnt all that helpful eiter because again its just decklists, with no deck tech or any explanation so the same as with Taysbys, if you dont understand what youre doing a little bit then these are just a bunch of random cards jumbled together.

Im arguing for both though, not one or the other. I think they both have very different purposes, thats what i was trying to say, not that one is better than the other. I think itd be an injustice to have one and not the other. As i said, Taysbys is a nice sampling, this is a 'heres the big players, use this info as you will.'

You just completely invalidate everything that you have been saying and apparently didn't read what I said because I made all of the points that you are blatantly stating.

Top 8 decklists give information as to the decks that topped a recent tournament and give people with knowledge of the format to adapt and innovate while also providing knowledge about the players that they could be facing within a general tournament. In a tournament, you're playing against players, not a deck. Yes, you sideboard against that deck but you play as you're playing against that person.

It is not the same as Taysby's thread for the lack of data or knowledge or information. A Top 8 Decklist thread helps players who already played within a tournament. Taysby's deck thread is seemingly supposed to help players who are new to the format, but even it they played already doesn't mean they know some interactions and information. When you're new to a format, you're new to a whole new way of playing. Standard and Casual maybe the best reach for newer players, but all formats exist where it is the same for all types of players. Legacy to modern is a big stretch. You might be good at legacy, but modern doesn't have all of those big plays and interactions. It maybe dumbed down, but it is also very different.

And if you're just going to netdeck, why stop people from doing that? Taysby's thread is the same relative information for netdecking. A bunch of strong decks that place and hold results. It gives people a place to have a deck to start out with. But they know nothing other than the cards that exist within that decklist. A single sentence to describe the deck would help newer players more than a decklist would.

And death, apparently you didnt read my post too thoroughly. I agree with most of your points save that Taysbys thread isnt useful.
