Is there a point after first strike damage is dealt and before regular damage phase where a creature can be bounced back to your hand?

False, good sir.  Players receive priority during the Combat Damage step, after damage has been dealt, SBAs are checked, and trigger hit the stack.  First strike creates a second damage step, and players will get Priority during that one, too.
