Definitely looking more intensely at your land base. Running 30 is way too low. I don't go below 36 and that's pushing it. Throw more non basics in it!  {Godless Shrine}  {Temple of Silence} stuff that fixes your mana. Also, take out those puny 1 drops.  {Tormented Soul} and  {Dutiful Thrull} for example. They have no place in here

AdamS

i have been playing tis for about a year and iv never had any mana problems with the number or basic/non-basic and i keep the thrull for a early blocker and i had tormented soul because i had a {Elbrus, the Binding Blade} in it at one time

Arzair

Have to say, the mana base looks sub-optimal and could use some work.  That being said I agree that several of the creatures are as well...

I like the overall idea for the deck and what I see, just looks like it could use some tuning. Are you looking for suggestions?
(I know you posted it here, but some just post to show off a build - I have been guilty of that as well)

yes no one ever seems to post on any of my deck threads suggestions are really helpful so suggest away XD

Arzair

Okay, so there are several spells that only have a single target... I think things like this need to be supplemented by things that hit all or each... So instead of targeting a single player to discard make sure to hit everyone with it instead... You need more boardwipes and less low cmc creatures. Things that can repeatedly be sacrificed would be better than some of the low cmc creatures you have now I think... Just off the top of my head I will take another look later when I have more time.

AdamS

i was thinking about trying to make this a competitive deck but i cant afford to change the mana base very much if at all

AdamS

i changed some of the basics to the other cards i want to have as my mana base but the deck itself is still using basics

Coffee Vampire

Just bumping this. I meant to take a look at this and give advice a few days ago but have not yet. I don't want to lose it in the pages! Advice coming soon.

What is the aim of the deck? Counters, counters, counters? Sac and return?

Have a look at my favourite deck, The Currency of Orzhov for some ideas maybe. I haven't looked at it done BNG came out but it's a killer deck. First EDH I've made, constantly modified, always killer.

AdamS

its a creature stealing deck with the posibility to go infinite with counters on vish and then ending it with commander damage or by the opponent scooping

Coffee Vampire

okay finally got some time to do dis!

Let's start with the manabase, as that is the backbone of any EDH deck. Your colors seem to be quite fine, especially since this is just a 2-colored deck. Although I would probably not include vivid lands in a 2 color deck, because the fact that they enter tapped really hurts, and the benefit is small because most of the time your colors are fine without them. I see that you run quite a few bombs, so you should be running more lands. I'd say 35 minimum. I usually go 36-38 with most EDH decks. Sometimes even 40! But 30 lands is far too low. One great land combo is {Cabal Coffers} + {Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth}. Since all of your lands are swamps, you pay a little mana to add black for each land you control! And they are not bad on their own either. Urborg fixes your colors and Cabal Coffers can provide 1 extra or even 2 sometimes without urborg around.
For artifact ramp, I would probably run more of that too. The 3 artifact lands that I have in any EDH deck are {Sol Ring}, {Mana Vault}, and {Mana Crypt}. Now Mana Crypt is pricey, so we can leave that one out if you don't want to drop the dough (though if you want to start investing in EDH, I would start there!). However Mana Vault, on the other hand, is only around 4 bucks. So definitely pick that one up! 3 extra mana just for 1 mana is great. It is usually a 1-shot deal, then after a few turns and you finally have nothing to do, you untap it and continue to use it. It's very good. You will never be sad to see it in your opening hand.

Now, on to creatures. This deck does not seem like one that would swing with a bunch of creatures, so I would cut {Victorie's Herald} as well as {Angelic Skirmisher}. Plus, Vish already has lifelink. I would cut {Dread Cacodemon}, because its effect is not worth 10 mana. Instead, run {Myojin of Night's Reach}, which has a better effect for a smaller cost. I would also run {Mikaeus, the Lunarch}. It synergizes well with your general, giving you the ability to always kill a 1 toughness. I like cards that do good things, like {Grand Abolisher} and {Bloodline Keeper}. {Bloodgift Demon} is great too, and {Divinity of Pride} is an excellent card! Nice choices. I would probably cut the myrs for noncreature mana rocks that can tap for mana right away, like {Mind Stone}. The fact that myrs can be sacced to your general does not justify the fact that they cannot use their ability right away. The colored mana that they produce is better than the colorless mana of {Mind Stone}, but since your deck is just 2 colors you can survive without the colored myr mana. I suggest running more creatures with enter-the-battlefield effects, and death effects, so you can take full advantage of your general. {Blood Artist} is very good. {Angel of Despair} is great because it can deal with anything! Another great addition would b {Mirror Entity}. It makes all of your creatures as powerful as you have mana, then sacrifice them all to your general and swing away! {Obzedat, Ghost Council} could be a good addition too, as a constant drainer. And if needed, just sacrifice him for 5 counters.

As for noncreature spells, you have a lot of good things going on here. {Grave Betrayal} and {Grave Pact} are wonderful at keeping you in the lead. {Beseech the Queen} and {Diabolic Tutor} are great at getting exactly what you need. {Damnation} and {Wrath of God} help clear the board, and you often benefit from things dying! {Whip of Erebos} is very strong...I like it. {Pithing Needle} is a great card too, I am lad you included it. It is underrated in EDH and helps in a lot of situations.
As for suggestions, I think that you should do away with {Strionic Resonator}. Unlike {Illusionist's Bracers}, it does not deal with activated abilities. And you just do not have enough triggered abilities to make it worth while. Also, since you will be sacrificing your creatures a lot, {Gift of Orzhova} doesn't make sense here, especially since your general has lifelink. {Sorin's Vengeance} doesn't do enough, in my opinion. But if you are still in want for something that causes a great life swing, {Sorin Markov} is better. Puting someone to 10 may be just enough to finish them off! I think that {Destroy the Evidence} doesn't do enough for the mana cost, and mill is not relevant. If you wan to destroy a land, a more efficient option would be {Strip Mine}. It still taps for colorless, so you can save it for when someone wants to abuse their {Gaea's Cradle} or some other really annoying land. As for {Assasin's Strike}, I think it does 2 good things but at too-high of a cost. For creature removal go with efficient choices like {Go For The Throat} or {Skinrender} (good with Vish Kal!). If you want discard, two excellent choices are {Unnerve} and {Syphon Mind}. Those two cards really shine in EDH. {Pyxis of Pandemonium} is an interesting choice. I think that if the people you play against run a lot of tutors that put cds on top, like {Personal Tutor}, {Enlightened Tutor}, or {Vampiric Tutor}, I would keep it in. Otherwise, I do not think it serves much purpose. Especially since you yourself do not know what you exiled. More information for you is better.

Hope I could help and good luck with deck building dude!
