My question pertains to devotion triggered mechanics (gods). While they are in any zone but the BF, are their types both enchantment and creature? For example:
{Lord of the Void} deals combat damage to player, player exiles top 7 and one of those is a  {Xenagos, God of Revels}. Would I be able to put Xenagos on my battlefield even though I don't meet devotion requirements, nor does my opponent? Or does that card not gain creature status unless it is on the battlefield and devotion requirements are met?

MuggyWuggy

Once xenagos hits the battlefield

He will check the game state for devotion

So

You attack with Lord of , hit and exile the top 7

Last one is xenagos god of revels

He is a creature CARD

You may place him on the battlefield

-----place on battlefield----

Now he checks game state for devotion

Becomes noncreature

Revel god ability still works even though he is not a creature.

Keep in mind: xenagos and other gods are creature spells/cards as they are in your hand/deck

Once they hit the board, they check for devotion and "uncreature" themselves.

This is why you would be able to target god of revels as a valid target.

Too sleepy to lookup rules.

Didn't read?: answer is yes you can use xenagos

That's what I was postulating but wanted to run it by some folks. Thanks for response.
