I just have to say, This escalated quickly.
Sure it's been kinda festering for a while, but geeze I didn't realize it'd gotten this bad this quickly.

Well I have a suggestion for anyone with any reason left.

Let's just go back to what makes this forum great, and put our egos aside. Perhaps some things just aren't worth arguing about.

Any time I've ever gone into a debate I've always held a quote in mind every time.

"A man convinced against his will, is still a man unconvinced."

I say do away with general discussion, perhaps temporarily, but nevertheless this forum needs to go back to a place where we can all be civil for a while.

At this point I don't see any clear resolution, it's more like two angry people in a fight. You just need to separate them and remove the cause.

Maybe not the most perfect solution.

But right now I'd just like to see some ground gained.

In order for this forum to equalize and come back to normal, I think the political chatter should be cut out. All I see is people stating opinions, then telling the guy(or gal) they don't agree with they are wrong. Opinions are rarely changed, so what the point when these civil debates turn into a cluster .love. and nothing at all changes.

I'll be honest I don't agree with piotrs decision or his less than kind attitude in dealing with the community after the fact.

But I was actually involved in the political debate that abstract apathist was banned for. And to be honest I kinda see why he banned her.

Lots of people took what happened and ran with it.

What I took was Piotr was claiming that AA was citing web sources as truth. And the sources themselves may have been libel or biased and not based on fact.

And she continued to do it.

I may be wrong but that's how I took it.
